Banners with images of Modi, Jai Ram Thakur torn; probe on

Himachal Pradesh police is investigation the matter concerning the torn banners of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur. The banners were about the Global Investors' Meet to be held in Dharamshala on November 7 and 8.

Dharamshala:Banners of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur concerning the Global Investors' Meet 2019 were torn apart, police said.

They said the banners about the flagship business event, to be held here on November 7 and 8, were placed at the gate of the Gaggal airport and the same were destroyed after security personnel left in the evening.

"There are no police officials at the spot after evening," Santokh Singh said, adding that the matter was being investigated.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the two-day event on November 7.
