Mumbai (Maharashtra): Appalling visuals from Mumbai’s KEM Hospital show asymptomatic patients sharing a ward with dead bodies of COVID-19 patients, in a clear violation of the safety guidelines essential to contain further spread of the infection.
Earlier, similar footage had emerged from the financial capital’s Sion hospital wherein dead bodies of coronavirus disease patients were piled up alongside regular patients thereby exposing them to the deadly virus.
Asymptomatic patients share ward It is important to note that both the hospitals are being run by Mumbai's civic body, the BMC, and these videos were shot in the Emergency and Casualty wards where patients are first brought in and not the coronavirus wards where patients are treated.
