Nw Delhi:The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) rescued a 17-year-old pregnant girl from New Delhi railway station, who was a forced into prostitution and later tested HIV positive.
Jyoti Rathi, member, a member of DCPCR said, "The girl was taken from her village by her 60-year-old neighbour and then sold to a man hailing from Punjab."
However, the victim managed to escape and reach Delhi and has been living at the railway station here for the past two months.
The DPCR member further said that the girl has been witnessing the horror for the last two years.
"The medical examination reports claimed that the minor has been sexually active since 2018. The medical examination revealed that she was 13-weeks pregnant", added Jyoti.
