APSPDCL purchases electric shock proof suit worth Rs five lakh

In a bid to avoid instances of injuries or deaths caused due to electrocution among the workers engaged in repair works on electric poles, the Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) purchased an electric shock proof suit worth Rs. five lakh along with a ladder costing around Rs. 30 lakh.

Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh):The Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) purchased an electric shock proof suit worth Rs. five lakh to avoid instances of injuries or deaths caused due to electrocution among the workers engaged in repair works on electric poles.

The purchase was prompted by a need to fix a high voltage electric wire at Alagadda power substation in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from the suit, that was bought from a foreign country, a ladder worth Rs. 30 lakh was also purchased by the department.
