New Delhi: In view of protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act, top Congress leaders on Thursday got together and discussed the prevailing situation in the country, including the national capital, at party chief Sonia Gandhi's residence.
Senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, A K Antony, Ahmed Patel, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Shakti Singh Gohil, and many other leaders also attended the meeting.
Talking to media, Senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said, "Everyone should stand against the methods that are being used by the government to suppress the youth's voice. This is a national issue and not a political one. Modi government firstly knocked down the economy and now is trying to bring down the social fabrication of India."
