Amit Shah likely to be new Home Minister?

BJP president Amit Shah may become the Union Home Minister as he tops the list of the probable candidates. He has earlier as the Home Minister of Gujarat when Modi was the then Chief Minister.

New Delhi: The country is likely to receive its new Home Minister after Narenda Modi swears in as the Prime Minister on Thursday.

Sources said that name of Amit Shah tops the list of candidates as the new Home Minister. The BJP president had earlier served as the Home Minister of Gujarat when Narendra Modi was the then Chief Minister.

In 2010, Shah had to resign from the Modi cabinet following controversy over Sohrabuddin fake encounter case. Shah was earlier Rajya Sabha MP before he got elected as the MP from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat in this election.

Sources said that all the new probable ministers will get a call from PMO for Thursday's swearing in ceremony.
