For the first time in the country, this type of counter has been built at the Patna Airport. Now any person can easily book air ambulance from this counter. Within five hours of booking, the patient is guaranteed to reach the ICU of the hospital to the destination city. The special thing is that its fare is also less than the market rate.
There is a huge demand in Bihar
An air ambulance is a small plane, which has special equipment, medicine and a trained team. It is used to transport seriously-ill patients from one place to another. There is a high demand for air ambulances in Bihar following which a businessperson decided to offer this service as a regular facility in the airport.
'Now patients will not have to worry'
According to the company that is running this counter, 'Every month about 12 patients in Bihar demand the air ambulance service. This service has been started to save such people from trouble, now they will not have to worry.
According to information, in the air ambulance, along with the patient, it will also be able to board two families. They will also have one paramedical staff and a doctor with them. The patient will be transported from a six-seater plane to any major city hospital including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata or Chennai. All the necessary medical equipment is installed in the ambulance.
