New Delhi: After two weeks of quarantine, 112 people including foreigners were on Friday sent back to their homes by Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

The ITBP had quarantined all the people who had come from China at its Delhi based Chhawla Quarantine Facility camp. There were a total of 76 Indians, 36 foreign nationals with the total count of 8 families and 5 children.
After successfully flying back the first batch of 406 people from Wuhan in China, the ITBP Quarantine facility at Chawla again housed another batch of 112 people.
Along with 76 Indians, 23 people were from Bangladesh, 6 from China, two from Myanmar and Maldives and 1 from Madagascar, South Africa and United States were quarantined at Chhawla camp.

ITBP Director General SS Deswal added that the force is ready to serve more people and bring them back home safely. "We have tried to give the best facility to the inmates. It was our responsibility," said Deswal.
The inmates of the Chhawla camp were beside themselves with happiness as they left for their homes."I study in a medical college in Ichang, and the place is 270 mms away from Wuhan. We were told about the epidemic on January 24 and since then we were locked down. we got relieved when we landed in India on February 27," said Medha, a medical student in China who hails from West Bengal.
A lecturer from China added, "After information was conveyed about the Coronavirus outbreak, we were not allowed to even go to the nearby shops. It was a complete lock down everywhere."
Elaborating her experience at Chhawla camp, Friska said that it was really endearing "We were looked after by the ITBP officials very well. They treated us like the family members," she elaborated.
According to the reports, two tests were conducted for 112 people. The first test was conducted on February 27 and second test was conducted on March 14 and in both the tests, all 112 people were found COVID-19 negative.

ITBP officials essayed that people were provided every basic facilities they required, moreover, daily monitoring and checkups were also conducted by the ITBP medical staffs from time to time.
