Haridwar to get some 'adventure'

Adventure sports like paragliding and paramotor sailing have been introduced in Haridwar in a bid to increase tourism in the state.

Haridwar:Along with the holy dip, Haridwar is now offering a variety of adventure sports to attract more tourists. Paragliding and paramotor sailing have been introduced as part of the adventure sports.

A youth startup has taken the initiative and opened a training centre for them.

Uttrakhand is known for its religious tourism. Many pilgrims and tourists visit the holy land. Now with the advent of adventure sports, tourism is expected to increase. First training school 'Flying by Mountain' in Haridwar was opened in Noorpur village of Jagjeetpur district.

Harsh Sachan, an instructor at the training school believes that Uttrakhand has a good scope in adventure sports. He also said that the training school will have the best trainers in the world who will provide training.

These sports were available in Rishikesh till now. With its advent in Haridwar now, it will boost up tourism in the state.
