New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Harpal Singh Cheema on Thursday claimed that it is only Arvind Kejriwal and his party who can put an end to Mafia rule in the state. Cheema asserted that the government should rollback the farm laws as they are anti-farmers and will favour the big corporates.
Asked about whether the protesting farmers will support AAP in the upcoming elections in 2022, the leader said, "Sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib took place in 2015 when it was Akali Dal and BJP alliance government in the state. People are against these two governments and AAP will form government in Punjab."
"Our party has installed Wi-Fi at Singhu borders where the farmers are camped. Our party has always stood with the farmers, be it in Delhi or in Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal convened special assembly session to pass a resolution against the three farm laws and also refused to convert nine stadiums into temporary jails for farmers. AAP has also provided temporary toilets and water supply facility for protesting farmers at Singhu, Teekri and Burari," he added.
