Kullu: Police has arrested two accused in Manikarna valley with 3 Kg hashish or hash in Sharani area on Bhuntar - Manikarna road in Himachal's Kullu.
The police registered a case against the youths and they are making inquiries regarding hash smuggling.
According to the Kullu police, a taxi was stopped for checking during the blockade in Sharani area on Bhuntar - Manikarna road. Hash was recovered from the car during the checking and police arrested the two accused.
The accused who used to smuggle the hash were identified as Raj who is a resident Sarkaghat and Kuldeep Singh hailing from Hamirpur. The police have also taken possession of the car used in smuggling.
Kullu SP Gaurav Singh said that both the accused are being interrogated from where the hash was bought and to whom they were going to sell. The police are keeping a close watch on drug addicts these days.
In another incident, police have recovered 105 grams of hash from a vehicle near Badaihar. According to the police, two youths parked their car in the Badaihar forest. Meanwhile, the police passing through the forest asked both of them the reason for parking the car at a deserted place. When police searched the vehicle, 105 grams of Charas was recovered from the vehicle.
The police have arrested both the youths and started investigating the case.
