A batch of 208 Indian nationals stranded in Pakistan due to the lockdown returned to the country through the Wagah Border on Saturday. As per rules, they will be quarantined in their home states.

Amritsar: As many as 208 more Indian nationals stranded in Pakistan due to the coronavirus lockdown returned to the country through the Attari-Wagah border in Amritsar.

As many as 748 Indians have registered themselves to return to the country out of which 208 Indians returned on Saturday. Due to the coronavirus crisis, India and Pakistan had sealed their borders.

Post some relaxations in the lockdown, 748 of those Indian citizens who had travelled to Pakistan before the lockdown and were stranded there, will return in next two days via Attari-Wagah border.

Reportedly, a batch of 271 residents of Jammu and Kashmir had returned to the country via the Attari-Wagah border on Friday. Notably, the Indian nationals had come to Pakistan to meet their relatives and perform religious rites.

The returnees will be quarantined in their home states.
