Bhagalpur: At a time when every little contribution made to the relief fund to combat COVID-19 makes a difference, a 10th standard girl's thoughtful gesture to help the affected people has become the face of solidarity during the crisis.
Hailing from Bihar's Bhagalpur, Shambhavi Shekhar had reportedly been saving money in her piggy bank for one year to celebrate her birthday. But after seeing the struggle of daily wage workers and poor people who are starving during the lockdown, she decided to put her savings one day before her birthday to the greater good.
Shambhavi chooses to donate her piggy bank's money to the District Magistrate (DM) Pranav Kumar's office here. She appealed that the money should be used to help the poor people who are not able to get food and other amenities during the lockdown.
