New Delhi:As many as 1000 medical experts from across India on Saturday exchanged ideas on ventilatory management of Covid-19 even as centre has asked all the states to get prepared to face any kind of eventuality.
Against the backdrop of increasing number of Covid 19 cases in India, the Union Health Ministry and All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) organised the national training session on ventilatory management of Covid 19 through the ECHO video conferencing platform.
"It's an united fight against Covid-19. We all should come together and fight against the disease," said Luv Agarwal, joint secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The web based training session on ventilatory management of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) for Covid-19 took place for more than three hours.
Experts like Prof Rajeshwari Subramaniam, Head, Department of Anaesthesiology, Prof Anant Mohan, Head, Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical care and Dr Rahul Anand, Associate professor, Department of Anaesthesiology conducted the programme.
"Medical experts including intensivists, chest physicians and other physicians involved in emergency care related to ventilator management across the country from various nursing homes, district hospitals, medical colleges and drug resistant TB Centre's participated in the programme.
