Arvind Kejriwal arrives in Chandigarh, slams Congress infighting

Amidst the political turmoil in Punjab, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reached Chandigarh on a two-day tour today. Targeting the Congress, he said that the dirty fight for power is going on in Punjab at present, due to which the political atmosphere in the state is ruined.

Chandigarh: Amidst the political turmoil in Punjab, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reached Chandigarh on a two-day tour today. Targeting the Congress, he said that the dirty fight for power is going on in Punjab at present, due to which the political atmosphere in the state is ruined. He also claimed that only Aam Aadmi Party can provide a stable and honest government to this state. He will also appoint a Chief Minister, which the people of Punjab will be proud to have.

He further added that now only four months are left before the elections and Aam Aadmi Party will give a new CM to Punjab. He congratulated the new Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for the new responsibilities and asked him for five things on which he should take action at the earliest.

Kejriwal said that Channi is being accused of including tainted ministers and officers, those ministers and officers should be removed immediately. Also, strict action should be taken against them. He added that the people of Punjab are annoyed about the Bargadi issue because its mastermind has not been punished yet. Therefore based on the filed report, CM Channi must arrest the accused within 24 hours.

The Delhi CM said that Captain Amarinder Singh had made many promises to the people of Punjab. Now, Channi should fulfil them or else claim that the Captain had made false promises. He also added that within a week of coming to power, AAP government will start the process of giving unemployment allowance and will waive off the loans of all farmers in the state.
