Mumbai: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigating former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh in an alleged Rs.100 crore graft case Wednesday arrested its own sub-inspector for trying to scuttle the probe. The CBI also detained a lawyer who is part of Deshmukh’s legal team, the agency said.
Earlier, Deshmukh's son-in-law Gaurav Chaturvedi and lawyer Anand Daga were arrested by the CBI. He was arrested by the CBI from Deshmukh's residence 'Sukhda' in Worli. Meanwhile, Gaurav Chaturvedi was released after the CBI recorded his reply. He will have to reappear if necessary, the CBI has said.
