New Delhi:Former Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh Tuesday is scheduled to visit Delhi this afternoon and is likely to meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital, sources said.
After stepping down as Chief Minister following a bitter feud with Navjot Singh Sidhu, Captain Amarinder Singh is scheduled to visit Delhi from Chandigarh. During his visit the former CM is likely to meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital, sources said.
Asked if he's joining the BJP, Captain Singh said, ''I will consult with my supporters and decide the future course of action."
However, Raveen Thukral, media advisor to Captain Amarinder Singh in a tweet doused the speculations saying, "Too much being read into @capt_amarinderss visit to Delhi. He’s on a personal visit, during which he’ll meet some friends and also vacate Kapurthala house for the new CM. No need for any unnecessary speculation."
Amarinder Singh resigned as chief minister of Punjab on September 18, declaring that he feels "humiliated" and said he won’t accept state Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu as the next chief minister or the party face in the Assembly polls.
