New Delhi: The Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, said on Wednesday that the process of decision-making goes beyond the knowledge of the law, it is about moral courage, integrity, and impartiality. Impartiality is not an easy quality for judges as they come with their own baggage and experiences but being a judge they have to be neutral.

CJI Ramana was speaking at the virtual farewell ceremony of Justice Navin Sinha who demitted his office as SC judge today. CJI Ramana quoted Justice Sinha who had once said to him that "doing the right thing is not the problem, knowing what the right thing is the challenge."

CJI said that judges walk the tight rope and Justice Sinha has always balanced the human side of the law.
