'All is well' in Jharkhand alliance, says Jharkhand finance minister

While speaking to ETV Bharat, Jharkhand finance minister Rameshwar Oraon said that the Congress general secretary KC Venugopal has sought a report over the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance. He claimed that the alliance is working 'superb' in the state and assured there is no crack among the party members in the state.

New Delhi:Jharkhand finance minister Rameshwar Oraon, who is on a trip to the national capital met Congress general secretary KC Venugopal on Monday and discussed the possible Cabinet reshuffle in the state. It is expected that there would be a Cabinet reshuffle for which the party is planning to induct new faces. While speaking to ETV Bharat, Oraon said that the Minister has sought a report over the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance. He claimed that the alliance is working 'superb' in the state and assured there is no crack among the party members in the state.

Bolstering the recent move of the Congress in which the party is seen protesting against the rising fuel prices in several parts of the country, he said that the step would strengthen the party. The minister claimed that the State has controlled over the second wave of the pandemic in a very short period.

"The State has secured a triumph over the second wave in a very short period. However, we need more vaccines to avoid the third wave in the state," said Oraon. Further, he alleged the Central government for not cooperating in providing aid to the state.

Meanwhile, the Jharkhand government on Tuesday initiated the unlock process by announcing certain relaxations. The decision regarding the relaxations was taken in the disaster management meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. As per the decision, all shops will remain open in the state till 4 pm. There will be a complete weekend lockdown across the state from 4 p.m. on Saturday to 6 a.m. on Monday. Only medical shops and milk outlets will be allowed to open during this period.
