New Delhi: Amid the ongoing Afghanistan crisis, many Sikh families who arrived in India with just copies of Guru Granth Sahib from Kabul, are struggling to find means of livelihood to sustain their families. After undergoing quarantine, all the families have returned to Guru Arjan Dev Ji Gurdwara located in Mahavir Nagar.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, the Sikh families said that their lives were affected by the sudden change of situation in Afghanistan. There were many people who were employed and some were doing their business for the last 20-30 years. However, after the Taliban takeover, they had to leave everything behind and return to India.
The families further added that they are hopeful that the situation will change and they can return to Afghanistan. They also thanked the government of India for bringing them to India.
