Actor Sonu Sood meets Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

Actor Sonu Sood on Friday met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the latter's residence in Delhi. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also present on the occasion.

New Delhi: Actor Sonu Sood on Friday met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the latter's residence in Delhi. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was also present on the occasion. Bollywood's star actor Sood had hogged the limelight for his extraordinary philanthropic and humanitarian work was also hailed by several politicians for his selfless services rendered during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Though the reason behind Sood visiting Kejriwal isn't clear, there has been no clarity from the actor nor the Aam Aadmi Party regarding what the meeting was about, however, speculations are rife that the meeting is being linked to the Punjab Assembly elections. It is known that the Assembly elections are to be held in five states next year, and Punjab is one such state, where the Aam Aadmi Party is trying to strengthen its presence.

It is learned that the Delhi CM Kejriwal has also been inspired by the kind of service Sood had put up during the crisis period. Also, when the CBSE examinations were about to be held in the midst of the second wave of Corona, it was Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and actor Sonu Sood who had demanded the central government to cancel the examination, keeping in mind the health and safety of students.

Though the Central Board of Secondary Education had announced that the examinations would be held from May 4, the Central Government finally decided to cancel the exams. This led to several people hailing the actor and Delhi CM for their intervention.
