Now, the question arises as to how an Afghan citizen was able to produce an Aadhaar card through fake addresses in Assam. Abbas further admitted in police interrogation that his father is an Afghan but his mother is from Assam. Abbas came to Assam in 2019 with a medical visa. The visa period was only three months. But Abbas did not return to his home even after the term expired. Abbas had prepared the Aadhaar card with the address in Assam.
