Kolkata: A total of five persons, including two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, were injured in Kolkata on Sunday after a paramilitary truck rammed into a taxi, which then hit a bus, in the city's Lake Town area, as per police officials. The incident occurred at around 3:30 pm near the Lake Town clock tower crossing on the VIP Road, as the taxi was waiting at a signal to take a u-turn, they said.

As the BSF truck hit the taxi from behind, the impact caused the vehicle to hit a bus standing in front. The injured include two BSF personnel, as well as the two passengers and the driver of the taxi, police said. "We are checking the CCTV footage. All of them are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. The exact reason is being probed," an official informed.
