Srinagar:Police and CRPF have claimed to have jointly arrested 10 associates of the militant outfit along with ammunition and arms from the Uri sector of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Police sources said that they have arrested 10 overground workers (OGWs) and recovered two pistols, ten grenades, ten bullet magazines, Rs 21 lakh cash, and drugs from their possession.
Three out of ten were identified as Sharafat Khan son of Badshah Khan (Kupwara), Sajjad Shah son of Mohammad Shah (Lolab), and Shahid Ahmed Rather son of Wali Mohammad Rather (Tangmarg). Police have registered a case at the Uri police station and launched further investigations.
Earlier on June 16, one unidentified terrorist was neutralised in an encounter between security forces and terrorists at Wagoora in Naugam area of Srinagar.
