Panic-Stricken Telangana Man Finds Crocodile In Bathroom; Forest Dept Rescues Reptile

Panic gripped the residents of Janampeta when a man found a crocodile inside his bathroom on Monday midnight. The eight-foot-long reptile weighing 90 kg was later rescued by a forest department team to Krishna River.

Srirangapuram (Telangana):A man from Telangana's Srirangapuram was shocked and panic-stricken on seeing an eight-foot-long crocodile in his bathroom on Monday night.

Naganna, a resident of Janampeta in Srirangapuram woke up at midnight after hearing stray dogs of the neighbourhood barking. He got up from his bed apprehending that some thieves might have entered his house that could have drawn the attention of the dogs.

However, after searching the rooms he could not find anyone around. Then, he noticed that the dogs were looking towards his bathroom. After which, he went into the bathroom to check as to what the matter was. On entering his bathroom he got the biggest shock of his life after he saw a crocodile looking at him.

A shocked Naganna immediately informed the authorities. The incident caused an atmosphere of fear in the neighbourhood.

Soon a team of the state forest department led by officer Rani, local police and Snake Society president Krishna Sagar reached the spot for rescuing the reptile. After a lot of effort, the rescue team captured the crocodile after tying it up with ropes. The crocodile was taken to the Krishna River and dropped on the banks.

According to forest officials, the crocodile weighed around 90 kg and was eight-foot-long. Most probably, it had strayed into the house from any nearby river, they said.
