Churu:A three-year-old child, who was abandoned in the Delhi-Bikaner Express train by his family was rescued by RPF station officer Rajesh Chaudhary on Tuesday, August 6, 4.30 AM from the Churu Railway Station along with a small bag.
RPF officials found a shocking letter in the bag that read: 'The gentleman who finds this child should leave him in at an orphanage. God will bless you! He has no one in this world'. Police is currently searching and trying to trace the child's family. Two pairs of clothes, biscuits, chips and food items were also retrieved from the bag.
RPF station officer Rajesh Chaudhary said that the child was presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) after getting its health checked. The child is staying at the Nand Griha as of now.
The Child Helpline team has also joined hands in finding the parents and has also launched a search-operation. Preliminary investigation revealed the missing child to be a native of Bihar. Child Helpline project officer Panne Singh said that the child is not eligible for counseling. "He told us that his name is Ankit and his father's name is Manoj," he said.
