Jaipur: The BJP emerged victorious in five out of seven Rajasthan Assembly bypolls, the results of which were announced on Saturday. The Congress and Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) each secured one seat. The bypolls were held on November 13, with key contests in Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Khinwsar, Salumber, and other constituencies.
BJP's Strong Performance Across Constituencies
The BJP secured wins in Jhujhunu, Deoli-Uniara, Khinwsar, Salumber, and Ramgarh. In Jhunjhunu, BJP's Rajendra Bhamboo triumphed with over 42,000 votes, while Rajendra Gurjar won Deoli-Uniara by a margin of over 41,000 votes.
Rewant Ram Danga clinched Khinwsar, defeating RLP's Kanika Beniwal by nearly 14,000 votes, marking a significant loss for the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), which had held the seat since its inception in 2008. Shanta Amrit Lal Meena won Salumber with over 12,000 votes, while Sukhvant Singh Secured Ramgarh, a seat that had frequently shifted between the BJP and Congress, with a margin of over 13,000 votes.
