Tirunelveli(Tamil Nadu):Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering here on Wednesday. In a scathing attack on the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Modi accused the party of taking false credit for government schemes and even alleged they pasted stickers of China on the ISRO launch pad in Tamil Nadu to claim undeserved recognition.
Modi expressed his disdain for DMK's approach, stating, "They are not ready to see the progress of India's space, and with the taxes that you pay, they give advertisements and do not even include a picture of India's space in it. They insulted our scientists, our space sector, and your tax money. Now the time has come to punish the DMK."
He further criticised the DMK's tendency to claim credit for initiatives, renaming them and presenting them as their own. He accused the party of insulting India's achievements and impeding progress. He said, "Earlier, the DMK leader was busy all his life to make their son the Chief Minister. Now the Chief Minister is busy making his son the Chief Minister. All these DMK people are busy setting up their children and upsetting the future of your children and BJP is concerned about the future of your children".
Highlighting the BJP's commitment to national welfare, Modi said, "BJP is a party that follows the principle of Nation First. Our government leaves no stone unturned for the safe return of Indians trapped in crises worldwide".
Modi also criticised DMK and Congress for leaving the house on Pran Pratishtha of Ram Mandir resolution in the parliament and said, “They are hell-bent on dividing the nation, while BJP considers every person as a family member”. He further said, "We safely brought our pilot, Abhinandad from Pakistan. Our govt has rescued many of our fishermen and brought them back safely...The Indians who were sentenced to death in Qatar were brought back safely by the Government of India. Would this have been possible if there was a Congress or INDI government"?
Modi further highlighted the BJP's service track record, emphasising the party's ability to lead Tamil Nadu towards a brighter future. He connected Tamil Nadu's identity of technology and innovation with the BJP's vision, stating, "Only the BJP can take Tamil Nadu towards a brighter future."
Promising to put an end to corruption and looting under the guise of development, Modi declared, "This is Modi Ki Guarantee."
Earlier in the day, he inaugurated a series of transformative projects in Thoothukudi, unveiling initiatives collectively valued at over Rs 17,000 crore. The event marked the foundation stone laying and inauguration of key developments aimed at propelling Tamil Nadu into a pivotal role in the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat'.
