Hyderabad: The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday shared a trailer of current India head coach Gautam Gambhir and former captain Virat Kohli's never-seen-before freewheeling chat on their social media where both the Indian put a full stop on all the talks around their relationship.
Kohli's relationship with Gambhir is no secret to world cricket, having seen in heated discussion on the camera during the Indian Premier League (IPL), more recently in 2023 edition, when the latter was in the Lucknow Super Giants coaching staff. Hence, there was a huge chatter when the former India southpaw batter was named as World Cup-winning coach Rahul Dravid's successor. But the two have moved past old feuds, and there couldn't be a better example than BCCI's epic social media post.
The BCCI shared a minute and 40 seconds long video on their X handle a day before the India's first Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh at MA Chidamabaram Stadium, also known as Chepauk Stadium, in Chennai, starting on Thursday.
The two are shown a video of their match-winning 83-run partnership for third wicket in the 2011 World Cup final, before Gambhir recalls Kohli's iconic 2014/15 series in Australia and compares it with his 137-run knock in Napier against New Zealand in 2009.
