No Ban on Yami Gautam Starrer Article 370 in Gulf, Say Sources; Certification Awaited

Actor Yami Gautam's latest film Article 370 is riding high at the box office. After reports of the film being banned in Gulf countries, latest buzz suggests otherwise.

Hyderabad: After initial reports suggested that Article 370 was banned in Gulf countries, a newswire clarified that the film in question is not facing any ban in those regions. Sources also indicated that the film is currently awaiting certification in certain Gulf countries. This contradicts earlier statements from the film's public relations team, which had claimed that the movie was banned in the Gulf.

Yami Gautam and her director-husband Aditya Dhar are currently basking in the success of their recently released film Article 370. The movie portrays Yami as the intelligence officer Zooni Haksar in a narrative set in the valley and focused on the revocation of special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370.

Taking to social media, Yami Gautam expressed confidence in the film's appeal to audiences, despite initial skepticism from some quarters. She shared that despite warnings that such films might not resonate with viewers, she and the team believed in the film's potential.

Aditya Dhar, the film's producer and Yami's husband, reflected on the team's efforts and the uncertainty of audience reception at a promotional event. He stressed their commitment to bringing real-life struggles related to the abrogation of Article 370 to screen and expressed gratitude for the unexpected positive response from viewers.
