From 'Pehli Naukri Pakki 'to 'Paper Leak Se Mukti', Congress Lists 5 'Guarantees' for Youth if Voted to Power

Congress has listed five major promises for the youth of the country if the party comes to power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. They include Bharti Bharosa (Recruitment Trust), Pehli Naukri Pakki (First Job Confirmed), Paper Leak Se Mukti (Getting Rid of Paper Leaks), Social Security for Gig Economy, and Yuva Roshni (Youth Light)

Banswara (Rajasthan):Congress on Thursday promised a new 'employment revolution' if the party comes to power in 2024, as it listed five promises for the youth of the country.

Addressing a rally during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Rajasthan's Banswara, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said his party would provide employment and ensure the government supports and provides both business and employment opportunities.

"As soon as the Congress Govt is formed in 2024, a new ROZGAR REVOLUTION will begin by providing EMPLOYMENT GUARANTEE to the Youth of the country. Today, the Congress Party is making a big announcement for the crores of Youth of this country, which has 5 main points," Kharge posted on X, following his address to the rally.

He listed five promises named Bharti Bharosa (Recruitment Trust), Pehli Naukri Pakki (First Job Confirmed), Paper Leak Se Mukti (Get Rid of Paper Leaks), Social Security for Gig Economy, and Yuva Roshni (Youth Light)

Kharge said Congress "guarantees" Bharti Bharosa to all the youth of the country. "All vacant posts of around 30 lakhs in the Union Government will be filled. A timeline will be decided from examination to recruitment," he said as he spoke about the first point.

Under 'Pehli Naukri Pakki', the Congress chief said that even after having a degree, "every second youth is unemployed because they do not have proper apprenticeship training". "Congress Party guarantees bringing a new RIGHT TO APPRENTICESHIP law, through which we will provide Apprenticeship Training to every Diploma or Degree holder below 25 years of age in government or private sector. All apprentices will be given assistance of Rs 1 lakh i.e. ₹ 8,500 per month in a year," he said.

Under the third promise, 'Paper Leak SE Mukti', Kharge said Congress will stop any paper leaks by bringing in a new law that would ensure all examinations are conducted fairly.

"Today, the situation in the country is such that the recruitment process does not happen. Even if the recruitment process starts, there is no paper. If there is paper, then paper gets leaked. Just imagine, our youth from villages and small towns come to cities to study. Their parents spend their entire life savings to get them a government job. Therefore, the Congress Party guarantees that we will put a full stop on Paper Leaks by bringing a new law. Will ensure that all examinations are conducted in a fair manner. The years of hard work of our Youth, should not go in vain," he said in his long post on X.

He also promised social security for the gig economy, under which Congress "guarantees that we will bring a new law for social security and working conditions in the gig economy".

"Rahul Gandhi met lakhs of people during Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra. He met many people including Truck Drivers, Mechanics, Carpenters, Delivery people, Taxi Drivers etc, all part of the informal gig economy. Rahul ji shared their sorrows and pains, listened to their problems. What problems they face, how low their salaries are, he heard and understood all these things. We understand the difficult conditions in which they are working in cities miles away from their villages.

After this, the then Congress Government of Rajasthan brought a social security law for the welfare of all these people. Congress Party guarantees that we will bring a new law for social security and working conditions in the gig economy. Crores of such youth who are supporting themselves and their families by working informally in the Gig Economy shall be benefitted," Kharge said.

Under Yuva Roshni, the Congress chief said, a fund will be created with an amount of ₹5,000 crore which will be distributed in all the districts of the country. "Congress Party guarantees that this fund will be given to youth below 40 years of age to start their own business – A Startup. All these businesses will create lakhs of jobs for the Youth," he said.

During the Nyay Yatra rally, Rahul Gandhi also promised the same guarantees, while adding that a legal guarantee on minimum support price for crops will be provided to farmers.

Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gandhi said, "There are 30 lakh government vacancies in India. Modi ji doesn't get them filled. The BJP doesn't fill them. After coming to power, our first step will be to fill these posts."

Referring to the issue of paper leaks, he assured that the Congress will standardise the government recruitment exam process and stop its outsourcing. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra entered Rajasthan in Banswara from Madhya Pradesh.
