టీమిండియా స్టార్​ పేసర్​ మహ్మద్​ షమి అరుదైన రికార్డు సాధించాడు. ఈ ఏడాది వన్డేల్లో అత్యధిక వికెట్లు తీసిన బౌలర్​గా చరిత్ర సృష్టించాడు. కెరీర్​లో రెండోసారి ఈ ఘనత దక్కించుకున్నాడు. కటక్​ వన్డేలో విండీస్​ బ్యాట్స్​మన్​ షై హోప్​ను ఔట్​ చేసి ఈ రికార్డు అందుకున్నాడు.

అత్యధిక వికెట్లు తీసిన వన్డే బౌలర్ ఎవరు​...?

భారత జట్టు ప్రధాన పేసర్​ మహ్మద్​ షమి.. మరోసారి అత్యధిక వికెట్ల వీరుల జాబితాలో అగ్రస్థానం కైవసం చేసుకున్నాడు. ఈ క్యాలెండర్‌ ఇయర్‌లో అత్యధిక వన్డే వికెట్లు సాధించిన ఆటగాడిగా ఘనత సాధించాడు. కటక్​ వేదికగా విండీస్​తో జరుగుతున్న ఆఖరి వన్డేలో ఒక వికెట్​ తీసి ఈ రికార్డు అందుకున్నాడు.

ఈ ఏడాదిలో షమి 21 మ్యాచ్‌లు ఆడి 42 వికెట్లు సాధించాడు. ఇందులో ఐదు వికెట్లను ఒకసారి సాధించగా.. ఒక హ్యాట్రిక్‌ను కూడా నమోదు చేశాడు. న్యూజిలాండ్‌ బౌలర్లు ట్రెంట్‌ బౌల్ట్‌(38), ఫెర్గుసన్(35) తర్వాతి స్థానాల్లో ఉన్నారు.

భారత బౌలర్లు భువనేశ్వర్‌ కుమార్‌(33), కుల్దీప్‌ యాదవ్‌(32)లు ఐదు, ఆరు స్థానాల్లో నిలిచారు. చాహల్‌(29) తొమ్మిదో స్థానంలో ఉన్నాడు. గతంలో అత్యధిక వికెట్లు సాధించిన భారత బౌలర్లుగా కపిల్‌దేవ్‌(32 వికెట్లు), అజిత్‌ అగార్కర్‌ (58 వికెట్లు), ఇర్ఫాన్‌ పఠాన్‌ (47 వికెట్లు)లు అగ్రస్థానంలో నిలిచారు. నాలుగో బౌలర్​గా షమి ఘనత సాధించాడు.

2014లో ఒకసారి...

ఒక క్యాలెండర్‌ ఇయర్‌లో షమి... అత్యధిక వన్డే వికెట్లు సాధించడం ఇది రెండోసారి. 2014లో తొలిసారి అత్యధిక వన్డే వికెట్ల జాబితాలో మొదటిసారి టాప్​ స్థానాన్ని కైవసం చేసుకున్నాడీ పేసర్.

STORYLINE:
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi used a rally for his Hindu nationalist party to defend the new Citizenship Amendment Act, accusing the opposition of "inciting emotions," and "spreading rumours."
A total of 23 people have been killed nationwide since the law was passed in Parliament earlier this month in protests which represent the first major roadblock for Modi since his landslide re-election last spring.
Authorities across the country have scrambled to contain the situation, banning public gatherings and blocking internet access.
Modi took to the stage at a rally in the capital launching his Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) campaign for New Delhi legislative assembly elections in February, and quickly turned to the contentious new law.
He exalted the crowd to "stand up and show respect" for passing of the so-called Citizenship Amendment Act.
The bill allows Hindus, Christians and other religious minorities who are in India illegally to become citizens if they can show they were persecuted because of their religion in Muslim-majority Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
It does not apply to Muslims.
Critics have slammed the legislation as a violation of India's secular constitution and have called it the latest effort by Modi's government to marginalize the country's 200 million Muslims.
But BJP supporters, who attended the rally in thousands, said they backed the law.
