ప్రముఖ నటి రమ్యకృష్ణ.. తొలిసారిగా భర్త కృష్ణవంశీ దర్శకత్వంలో నటిస్తోంది. మరాఠీ హిట్ చిత్రం 'నటసామ్రాట్'కు రీమేక్గా రూపొందిస్తున్న ఈ సినిమాకు 'రంగమార్తాండ' అనే టైటిల్ ఖరారు చేశారు. ఓ పోస్టర్ను విడుదల చేశారు. ప్రధాన పాత్రలో ప్రకాశ్రాజ్ కనిపించనున్నాడు. వీటితో పాటే చాలాకాలం తర్వాత కృష్ణవంశీ తీస్తున్న సినిమా ఇది కావడం వల్ల ప్రేక్షకుల్లో ఆసక్తి నెలకొంది.

"The reason why I came to Gaslini, we have a family friend who came to Gaslini for gene therapy, something that is not available in the UK. This particular friend has actually lost a child in the UK to the same disease and Gaslini is the only hospital they were able to find in Europe who are doing that treatment. So he told us to approach Gaslini, go to them, and that's how we decided to choose Gaslini."

"In Gaslini Hospital we have all the head physicians of all the medical and surgical disciplines. We have identified some of them - some are in this room, others are working in the hospital - and I asked Professor Luca Ramenghi, who is head physician of the neo-natal unit, so it's not specifically related to Tafida's disease, to coordinate a multidisciplinary medical team where we can bring in various professional doctors so they can put their knowledge and experience together to make a plan."

"Well, the doctors in the UK said that Tafida will die within a week, within a month, and that's something I was not told by the Gaslini so that's the major difference."

STORYLINE:
The parents of a brain-damaged five-year-old British girl who was flown to Italy for medical treatment say doctors at a hospital in Genoa have given them hope, despite British doctors' advice that she would die within weeks.
Doctors at the Gaslini Pediatric Institute in Genoa said they were working to find a plan for treating the girl, Tafida Raqeeb.
She arrived at the hospital on Tuesday.
In a news conference at the hospital on Wednesday morning, Tafida's mother, Shelina Begum, said she had visited her daughter and described her as fully awake and stable.
She said they had chosen the Gaslini Pediatric Institute as it offered a gene therapy not available in the UK.
Doctors in London had said Tafida had no hope of recovering from her brain injury and suggested her life support should be stopped.
But a British court ruled in favour of her parents' application for her to be transferred to Italy for specialist treatment.
