1. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson walking in to room, crowd cheering
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Boris Johnson, British Prime Minister:
"Thank you all very much for coming. Thank you to all of you for your incredible hard work. Nobody wanted this election in the run up to Christmas, but what an incredible thing you have, you have done. You have changed the political landscape. You've changed the Conservative Party for the better and you've changed the future of our country for the better."

3. SOUNDBITE (English) Boris Johnson, British Prime Minister:
"I want to thank all of you for the trust that you have placed in us and the Conservative Party and in me. And I know how difficult it was. And it can be too make that kind of decision. And I can imagine people's pencils hovering over the ballot paper and wavering before coming down for us and the Conservatives. And I know that people may have been breaking the voting habits of generations to vote for us. And I want the people of the Northeast to know that we in the conservative body and I will repay your trust. Everything, everything, everything that we do, everything I do as your Prime Minister will be devoted to repaying that trust. And first of all, what are we going to do to repay? We are going to get Brexit done aren't we? We're going to get Brexit done and we have a deal ready to go. Can anybody tell me what kind of a deal it is? Can anybody can you give me the culinary characteristics of that deal? It is oven-ready. It's ready to go. Every single one of our wonderful MPs, our wonderful new MPs, now do you support that deal?"
(Crowd: "Yes")
"They do, they all back it. Then we have 100 percent support, we would get it in before Christmas. We've just been going over the timetable, we could definitely get it in before Christmas and then we're out on January 31st. But there is much more that we want to do to repay the trust of the British people and the trust of the people here in in the Northeast. We want, of course, to improve our fantastic national health service. That's why we're making the biggest investments for a generation. How many new hospitals?
(Crowd: "14")
"How many more, how many new nurses I should say?"
(Crowd: "50,000")
"We will get on and deliver on those objectives. And we will make the streets safer across the whole of the UK by investing in how many more police initially?"
(Crowd: "20,000")
"Absolutely, absolutely correct. We will. We will improve our educations, where the money is already going in to every primary school, every secondary school in the country, 4000 probably in the primary, second 5000 per people in the secondary schools. What we want to do as conservatives, and we want to take our country forward, but we want to do it by uniting and levelling up across the whole of our incredible United Kingdom. And we do it with a very simple idea. If by investing in better infrastructure, better education and fantastic modern technology, and give those things to every part of the United Kingdom, and we will spread opportunity across the whole of the United Kingdom. Because that is fundamentally what we in the Conservative Party believe in. We believe in giving opportunity everywhere. We believe that talent is evenly distributed throughout our country, but opportunity is unfairly distributed. We are going to rectify that as a one nation conservative government, as a people's government, that is what we are going to do."

4. SOUNDBITE (English) Boris Johnson, British Prime Minister:
"But I want to say to all of my colleagues as MPs. When we get down to Westminster and we begin, we begin our work. Remember, we are not the masters. We are the servants now. We are the servants now. And our job is to serve the people of this country and to deliver on our priorities and therefore our priorities and their priorities are the same. And, of course, that is getting Brexit done. But it is also delivering on our national health service, our education, safer streets, better hospitals, a better future for our country. That is what we are going to deliver. That is what we are going to focus on."
5. Johnson stepping down from podium, shaking hands with people
STORYLINE:
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson British visited northern England on Saturday to meet newly elected Conservative Party lawmakers in the working class heartland that turned its back on the opposition Labour Party in this week's election and helped give him an 80-seat majority.
Armed with his hefty new majority, Johnson is set to start the process next week of pushing Brexit legislation through Parliament to ensure Britain leaves the EU by the January 31 deadline.
Once he's passed that hurdle - breaking three years of parliamentary deadlock - he has to seal a trade deal with the bloc by the end of 2020.
Johnson owes his success, in part, to traditionally Labour-voting working class constituencies in northern England that backed the Conservatives because of the party's promise to deliver Brexit.
During the 2016 referendum, many of those communities voted to leave the EU because of concerns that immigrants were taking their jobs and neglect by the central government in London.
