"It's a very special day for us here in Geneva, and 2019 is a very special year for Bentley. It's 100 years of creating extraordinary cars for extraordinary people. W.O. Bentley was a young, dynamic engineer who fulfilled his dream of starting his own car company, and onleb 10th July 1919 Bentley Motors was born. The start of an extraordinary story."

"Our cars are as fast as a super car, and yet as luxurious and refined as any limousine. With interiors that are crafted better than cars of twice their price. Our portfolio is the strongest and most technically advanced that Bentley or the world has ever seen in one luxury brand. We now are about to enter the most intensive period of product launch in the company's history of the back of our sixth successive year with sales in excess of 10,000 cars."

7. SOUNDBITE (English) Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO, Bentley Motors
"The reason for the Number 9 Edition is that this racing number adorns the grill of this particular vehicle and a section of the original seat from this car is mounted in the Bentley rotating display in the centre of the dashboard. Customers have the choice of two exterior colours and two heritage interior leather hides. A uniquely crafted dashboard also features engine spin finish and our trademark organ stops have been treated in gold plating instead of the classic chrome for this very special limited edition. And again only 100 customers will have the pleasure of owning yet another piece of Bentley and automotive history."

Bentley is celebrating its centenary at the Geneva Motor Show, 2019.
It's marked the event with the launch of a limited edition Continental GT Number 9 Edition.
STORYLINE
As Bentley marks its 100 year history - a nod to its past sits on stage at the Geneva Motor Show: a Bentley "Blower".
This 4.5 litre racing car would go on to win the prestigious Le Mans 24 hour race in 1930 and is to play an important part in the company's centenary.
Appearing on stage, Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO for Bentley Motors, says:
"It's a very special day for us here in Geneva, and 2019 is a very special year for Bentley. It's 100 years of creating extraordinary cars for extraordinary people. W.O. Bentley was a young, dynamic engineer who fulfilled his dream of starting his own car company, and on 10th July 1919 Bentley Motors was born."
He adds that after 100 years the company is still going strong:
"We now are about to enter the most intensive period of product launch in the company's history of the back of our sixth successive year with sales in excess of 10,000 cars."
With echoes of the "Blower", Bentley has designed a limited-run Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner, which it reveals at the Geneva Motor Show.
Limited to just 100 cars, it will be available in green or black:
"The reason for the Number 9 Edition is that this racing number adorns the grill of this particular vehicle and a section of the original seat from this car is mounted in the Bentley rotating display in the centre of the dashboard. Customers have the choice of two exterior colours and two heritage interior leather hides," says Hallmark.
"A uniquely crafted dashboard also features engine spin finish and our trademark organ stops have been treated in gold plating instead of the classic chrome for this very special limited edition."
The price of the Number 9 edition has not yet been disclosed.
