Kota (Rajasthan): An elderly couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train after testing positive for the Covid-19 in Kota, Rajasthan. The couple resorted to the extreme step as they did not want to infect their grandchildren.
75-year-old Hiralal and his 70-year-old wife Shanti Bai were in quarantine after testing positive for the deadly virus. Both of them were very concerned about their grandson—they feared they may infect him.
The couple had lost their young son eight-years ago. They decded to sacrifice their lives and thereby not infecting their grandson.

The matter came into the light when a locopilot reported the bodies to authorities.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhagwant Singh Hingad said, "the couple was worried that other people in their family might not get corona infected."
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
