Mandsaur: Amidst the growing violence towards animals, a farmer in a village of Mandsaur is setting an example for people to treat animals respectfully. Umrav Singh performed the last rites of his bull, as any person would do for his/her family member.
Singh bought the bull 18 years ago and named him Renda. His arrival brought luck to the family and Singh's business prospered. Since then he had high regards for Renda.
After he died, Singh invited the entire village for food on Renda's 13th day of the funeral, as is the ritual in Hindu religion.
